Create love for the Standardbred and harness racing in the hearts of the public.

People are longing to be entertained. They always have been and always will be. At one time cowboy/western movies were hot because of the characters, the action, and the horses. These historic movies have been replaced with junk. Harness racing has all of the ingredients to be the resurrected westerns. We can pierce the hearts of viewers.

Lag time between races is extremely boring and frustrating to many, so it must be utilized effectively. We can retain existing viewers, by presenting all of the interesting (and there are many) aspects of harness racing. Feature stories about how harness racing came about, how the horse is raised to race and the desire they have to race, including the love of the caregivers, trainers, drivers and owners.

Visit the paddocks and interview the owners, trainers, and drivers. Remember, this is a program, and the entire time should be spent entertaining the viewers, interwoven with advertising. The good news is that dramatic changes can be made that will elevate harness racing to being a fantastic sport.

Compare harness racing to neighborhood bookstores and Amazon. Books are still being purchased, but via a new creative, efficient venue. Get on board! If bowling can be successfully televised into homes, harness racing can.

Compassion, excitement, and honesty are the keys to making HR stimulating. People must fall in love with the horses as we do.
